No vehicle designed after 1980 will be eligible for participation

Pre-War

Definition: Original self-propelled vehicles of any description designed before 1940.

Post-War

Definition: Original self-propelled vehicles of any description designed after 1940 and before 1981. Vehicles may be fitted with period-correct modifications.

APPLY FOR Exemption

At the discretion of the organisers, exemptions will be granted for “toolroom copies” of original vehicles. These are vehicles that to the non-expert observer are indistinguishable from the original pre- or post-war vehicle of which it is a copy.

To apply for exemption, before completing an entry form please send a photograph of the vehicle to the organisers together with the vehicle’s story.

Participation

Participation in the static display at the Great Train Race destination venue

1. Registered Pre- and Post-War Vehicles
Owners of registered pre- and post-war vehicles are invited to take part in the static display at no cost. 

2. Unregistered Vehicles (Pre-1981)
Vehicles that were designed before 1981, that are not registered, may also participate in the display by arriving at the gate and paying the standard entry fee, subject to available display space. Please note: only vehicles registered in advance receive free entry. If you arrive without registering, standard entry fees will apply.

3. Car and Motorcycle Club Displays
Car and motorcycle clubs are welcome to apply for a display area at the destination venue. However, all vehicles on display must have been designed before 1981.
